Welcome to Kids Pod, a podcast where kids get to ask adults the questions they really want to know. Nothing is too rude to ask. You send in the questions and our adults will give kids the answers they want to hear.
In 2007 a huge tumour was found inside William Chan's pancreas. It was the size of a small watermelon and weighed one kilogram. During the operation to remove the tumour the doctors also removed William's spleen and part of his stomach. Since then William has also had bowel cancer and a brain tumour. But he has survived it all. And if you saw him in the street you wouldn't even know he had been sick. He is going to tell us all about what it's like to think you are about to die.
Kids Pod was created by Aimee Chan. Intro by Niki Strauss. Cover art by Glen Strauss. Narration by Harry Phillips. Special thanks to William Chan, Jasmine, Vivienne, Sam, Tom and Vinnie.
